To all our LGBT+ family, friends, and the community: we are proud to especially celebrate you in Pride Month.
Harrison Funeral Home is an LGBT+ ally and there is no better month to reiterate this than Pride Month. This is not us ‘virtue signalling’ or ‘clout chasing’ (as the youngsters say) – we simply like to state it in no uncertain terms here so that it is known by all.
2021 marks the 51st anniversary of Pride Month, which is celebrated every June to mark the Stonewall Uprising in 1969, a landmark series of spontaneous demonstrations by members of the gay community in response to police harassment.
