Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating this evening.
The holy month of Ramadan has come to an end, and Muslims around the world are getting ready to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the festival of breaking the fast. After a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection, Eid is a time for joy and celebration with family and friends.
Eid al-Fitr begins with the sighting of the new moon, and is celebrated over three days. It is a time for giving thanks to Allah for the blessings of the month of Ramadan, and for the opportunity to purify one’s soul through fasting and spiritual reflection. Muslims will gather in mosques and community centres to pray together, exchange gifts, and share festive meals.
To all our Muslim families, friends, colleagues and community members, we wish you a joyful and blessed Eid al-Fitr. Eid Mubarak!
