Annually, June 2024 is celebrated as Pride Month, a month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities all around the world.
A UK survey of lesbian, gay and bisexual adults revealed that “24% expected to face barriers relating to their sexual identity when planning a funeral” (Stonewall, 2018).
At Harrison Funeral Home, we offer deathcare services to all because death does not discriminate – it affects us all. So for us, Pride Month isn’t about virtual signalling, but an avenue to remind the world that we are LGBTQI+ allies all day, every day (because sadly, not everyone is!).
