Big news! Resomation Ltd, the company pioneering water cremation in the UK and around the world, has announced that the UK is expected to gain its first water crematorium in Spring 2023.
The first facility will be located in the North-East of England, with more set to be established across the country by Resomation’s UK arm, Kindly. As we are set to be a Kindly Resomation partner, Harrison Funeral Home will be able to offer water cremations as a choice for our families as an end-of-life option for their loved ones.
Until now, families arranging funerals have been able to only choose between burial and cremation. Water cremation, or as it is scientifically known, alkaline hydrolysis, is an alternative form of cremation, and when conducted correctly is one the greenest of all end-of-life options, which you can learn more about in our blog from 2021 here.
