Remarkable Robins

There is an old saying, “Robins appear when loved ones are near.” Today we are sharing a lovely story about Robins.

When our client’s father passed away at home, two little Robins appeared in the garden that same day and visited every day for weeks after.

Then on the day of his funeral service a Robin joined us – inside the church no less – and stayed for the duration of the ceremony (see photo). Then, again, when the gentleman’s ashes were interred and the family was saying goodbye, a Robin appeared.

Remarkable Robin in church

We have heard many accounts over the years of Robins appearing when a loved one has died. We have never though, until now, had a Robin join us for a church service (as far as we are aware)!

These Robins and their appearances gave the family a lot of comfort after the death of their loved one. We are sharing this story, with the family’s permission, because not only is it quite remarkable but it may offer others some comfort too.

This article on johnbyrneaward.org.uk offers insight on why Robins are considered a sign that a lost relative is visiting them, saying, “…in the spiritual world Robins are viewed as a symbol of visits from our deceased loved ones…Whatever your view or opinion this gift of nature has a way of presenting itself spirituality at exactly the right time for many.”
