This past weekend Harrison Funeral Home took part in Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice’s Matched Giving Campaign and was able to raise £1,632 in an overall £2 million target.
Taking place from 3 – 4 October 2021, the Matched-Giving Campaign meant that every penny donated to the Ark during this time would be doubled.
The goal was set at £2 million, meaning the Ark could continue supporting its seriously unwell children and their families, as well as put plans into effect to support a greater number. In the end, a phenomenal £2,114,179 was raised in total.
Of the fundraising, Harrison’s Managing Director, Mark Catchpole said, “This is fantastic news for Noah’s Ark. We chose them as our Charity of the Year 2021, not only because they’re a wonderful cause, but because we’ve witnessed first-hand the positive impact they have on the lives of the people they support. Noah’s Ark plays an important part in our community and we want to help however we can.”
Of the £1,600 raised by Harrison’s, he added, “Your support is now already massively helping children and families facing the unimaginable. So I would like to thank again everyone that contributed.”
Based in North London, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice enables those they support to enjoy life as children, rather than as patients; as families, not just as carers. Partnering with London NHS trusts, they have built a home, a community and an expert team to make that difference.
