Harrison Funeral Home is pleased to announce that we are official members of the Gay Business Association and the Gay Professional Network, two groups working to fight LGBTQ+ inequalities and promote community growth.
Harrison’s is advocating for positive change within the funeral sector for the LGBTQ+ community and in joining these two organisations, we not only network with likeminded individuals but can campaign for real change at the highest levels.
Gay Business Association
The Gay Business Association is the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
Founded in 1983 to help fight inequalities faced by the LGBT people in business, the Gay Business Association today continues to serve. Among the services it includes are:
- Networking opportunities for members to make useful business contacts.
- Training for LGBTQ+ professionals.
- Opportunities to work together with Government.
We are honoured to be part of this historic and groundbreaking organisation.
Gay Professional Network
Founded in 2010 under the patronage of Lord Paul Scriven (Lords Spokesperson for International LGBT Rights), the Gay Professional Network is a not-for-profit, fully inclusive, membership organisation. Its mission is to tackle homophobia and any other phobias related to the LGBT+ community, in the press and on social media, whilst promoting education everywhere to teach love and respect for all mankind.
