For this year’s Dying Matters Week, Harrison Funeral Home Enfield hosted an open day to encourage discussion around an often taboo topic.
Dying Matters was set up by the National Council for Palliative Care, the umbrella charity for all those involved in palliative care, to support the 2008 End of Life Care Strategy. Their aim is to raise public awareness about the importance of talking more openly about dying, death and bereavement and of making your wishes known.
On Tuesday 19 May, we hosted an open day at Enfield with the aim of getting the community talking about planning and the future.
We were joined by a number of locals, with music provided by our friends at Radio JJ and Betsy & Ted’s Vintage Tea Experience providing lots of lovely snacks.
